Kenosha is the largest city in Kenosha County and the busiest part of our Wisconsin service area, with everything from older lakeside neighbourhoods to newer subdivisions on the western edge of town. EcoBox rents 10-, 15- and 20-yard roll-off dumpsters to homeowners, contractors, property managers and anyone clearing a property in Kenosha.
Why EcoBox works well in Kenosha
Much of central Kenosha was built on a tight street grid, with narrow drives and alley access behind a lot of the older housing stock. Our trucks are smaller than the standard roll-off rig, which matters when the approach is tight or the driveway is short.
- Compact trucks that fit where a full-size roll-off rig will not
- RolliSkate driveway protection on every delivery
- Clean containers, which matters when one is sitting outside a customer’s house
- Order online or by phone, whichever you prefer
- You do not need to wait on site if the placement instructions are clear
Common projects in Kenosha
- Renovations and gut jobs in older homes near the lakefront and Library Park
- Rental and multi-unit turnovers
- Estate and downsizing cleanouts
- Roof tear-offs (10-yard only, see below)
- Garage, basement and attic clear-outs
Delivery and placement in Kenosha
Driveway placement is the default. In the older grid neighbourhoods an alley approach is sometimes easier than the street side, and we would rather you tell us up front than have the driver work it out on arrival. If the only option is the street or a city right-of-way, that is where you need to check with the city first.
Which size do I need?
- 10-yard — garage and attic clear-outs, single-room work, yard debris, and roofing tear-offs
- 15-yard — medium remodels, basement or multi-room clear-outs, flooring removal
- 20-yard — larger renovations, whole-property clear-outs, construction and demolition debris
Every rental includes delivery, pickup, a seven-day period and a weight allowance. See current pricing for the full rates and the charges that apply if you go over.
What you can put in it
General household and construction waste, furniture, timber, drywall, flooring, roofing and yard debris are all fine. Hazardous material is not: no paint, solvents, fuels, oils, batteries, tyres or anything containing refrigerant. Heavy materials such as soil, concrete, brick and asphalt reach the weight allowance well before they fill the container, so call us on (847) 252-1111 before you load a heavy job.
Frequently asked questions
Can the dumpster go in the alley behind my house?
Public-alley placement requires confirmation with Kenosha Public Works before delivery, as well as adequate truck clearance. Private access also needs owner permission and an EcoBox access check. Do not treat truck access as permission to leave a dumpster in an alley.
Do you deliver to the older neighbourhoods near the lakefront?
Yes. Those streets and driveways are usually the tightest in the city, which is exactly what our compact trucks and RolliSkate system are for.
I am doing a rental turnover and need it gone fast. How does that work?
Book the size you need and tell us the turnover date. Same-day delivery is usually available subject to scheduling, and you can call for a pickup as soon as you are loaded.

Do I need a dumpster permit in Kenosha?
The City's application says a dumpster permit is needed when the container stays longer than 30 days. This does not authorize a street or alley location: contact Public Works for any public-right-of-way placement before delivery.
Where can I place my dumpster in Kenosha?
The application lists driveway and front-yard placement, with no ruts allowed in the yard. EcoBox must also confirm ground conditions and truck access. Do not place it in a traffic lane, within 25 feet of an intersection, in a vision-clearance triangle, or where it interferes with City work. Reflectors and owner contact identification are required.
How long can I keep my dumpster in Kenosha?
For a stay exceeding 30 days, arrange the required permit with City Inspections. The application describes a 30-day permit and one 30-day renewal; confirm the permitted start and end dates rather than assuming an automatic 90-day allowance. If no local or permit deadline applies, you can arrange to keep it as long as you need, subject to availability. EcoBox includes 7 days; additional charges accrue after day 7. Contact us for a customized quote for an extended project.
